It started with a cookie company at age 15. Then, an energy bar biz at 18. And after graduating college, it was time for the family mustard recipe to make an appearance at the local farmer’s market. After selling 24 jars in just 30 minutes, founder, Michael Adams, 26, knew he was onto something.
He recruited his parents -- a material scientist and office coordinator -- to help him spread (pun intended) the word.
Green Mountain Mustard has now evolved into a company known for pushing the boundaries of condiment creation. Here are a couple flavors Michael developed:
- Sweet potato mustard
- Apple cinnamon mustard
- Everything bagel mustard
- Strawberry basil mustard (retired)
What will he create next? Stay tuned!
